It's been an awful couple of days in the news here in the US. Over the weekend, a few friends reached out to me to say that they are putting a bit less towards my Indiegogo campaign than they wished, because they also wanted to donate to hurricane relief efforts for Puerto Rico and elsewhere. I want to acknowledge here that I FULLY support that decision, and I am thankful that they made contributions to those efforts.
Home on the chocolate-making front, I am making (fingers crossed) my last complete batch of chocolate in my home kitchen, before finally moving everything over to the new shop.
Here on our Indiegogo campaign, I'm elated that my supporters pushed us over 82% funded within the first 5 days of our campaign! The December-delivery 10-bar and 5-bar sets are sold out, so we added February-delivery chocolate bars. A friend is also working on a beautiful silkscreen T-shirt design for us, using Lucie's artwork, and I can't wait to see it!

Happy Weekend! Friday was one of my favorite birthdays ever: thanks in large part to all of my chocolate lovers. We've now reached 81% of our funding goal! I noticed that the most popular perks were CHOCOLATE, and this is wonderfully affirming. We're going to interpret this to meant that the universe is very happy that we are making chocolate. We sold out of the December guaranteed delivery of 10-Bars, and 5-Bars, so we added more 10 and 5-Bar sets with guaranteed February delivery. We also added a nifty perk that has all of the Lucie-designed swag, plus a perk for the Mug and T and Hat collectors. My friend John is cooking up a lovely silkscreen design T with Lucie's black and white illustration on it, and I'll share pictures of it when we have samples.

Happy Friday! Wow, We reached almost 50% of our funding goal in the first 48 hours. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for your support. Thank you to everyone who has contributed - large and small - and also thank you VERY much for continuing to share my campaign. Here is a picture of our mini-cafe prep area: Matt finished installing the countertop and sink yesterday, and today he's going to work on that gorgeous piece of reclaimed oak. I love a good elbow spot for visitors!

I've been wanting to collaborate with artists to extend the sensory experience that chocolate offers, and I'm delighted to feature Lucie's elegant artwork in this endeavor.

QUESTION ABOUT SIZES: A couple of folks have asked about sizes: please go ahead and order what you think you want. We will re-confirm apparel sizes once more at the end of our campaign, so you'll have a chance to change your size if needed. Also, if you are nearby you're welcome to visit us and check out the samples that we ordered in a couple of common sizes.
You will also have a chance to add more apparel to your order at the end of our campaign, when you confirm your size.
